Officially 2

....even though he has acted like a "lovable" 2 year old for the past 2 years.  We spent the whole day together as a family, it was great.  And thanks to Skype, Grandma and Grandpa Thompson got in on the cake and singing.

FHE cookout

With the nice weather we have been wanting to grill out so Monday night Ryan came home and fired up the grill.   We ended up having our FHE out there too before a severe thunderstorm rolled in.

So I have always heard if your children are being quiet that they are up to no good.  Well, this morning Hartwell went in his room and was very quiet, but when I peeked in this is what I found.  He loves looking at books, I think he'd rather look at them on his own than have us read to him.

Some random shots

Both kids beg to put on Daddy's helmet in the morning before he leaves.  I'll have to get a picture of Hartwell in it next.

The kids and Daddy had Trix for breakfast.  Who knew cereal could be so yummy and fun.

Hartwell wears this hat all the time. I love his little foot propped up on the table.

Daddy and his little sidekick.
He put new brakes on the van this week and she was right there beside him helping any way she could.  I think they were both in heaven!

Utah Family

Nonnie and Laralee.  She has on Nonnie's pretty earrings from the wedding.
Nonnie and her AL grandkids.

The kids loved Nonnie's cat, Suphie.  We had to get a picture with him.

Hartwell loved baby Grayden.  He kept giving him hugs and putting his binki in his mouth.

Laralee learned about Nintendo DS from her older cousins.

Dave's wedding

My brother got married the beginning of February so we flew out to Utah to spend time with family.

Laralee and cousin Bailey

Cute little flower girls.

Uncle Mark was a favorite.

Laralee played with her cousin Taylor the whole night of the reception.  They had so much fun together.

Laralee has a fear of James because when she was little and we were out visiting her teased her and said he was going to eat her, she still remembers it and it's quite sure about him yet.

Grandma Patti, Masen, Mary and Mary roommate from BYU.

Hartwell and Grandpa Randy. He was a big hit with my kids since he kept feeding them donuts.
What are Grandparents for?

If you know Taylor, you this is a scary sight.  She doesn't need anymore chocolate, she already has plenty of energy.

Uncle Mark danced with all the little kids.
