24 hrs old
Laralee is doing great. She has past several tests and is learning to feed really well. Here are the latest pictures of her. The nurses keep commenting on how beautiful she is. She is pretty cute for a newborn.
Kaytee and Laralee still have 2 more days of rest and relaxation in the hospital before we head home to be on our own. SCARY!!!! Poor girl!
Kaytee was up and walking around this morning. She was finally able to take a shower and get her back scratched. Evidently, the bedding is really itchy.
Also, if you would like to see the pictures in more detail, just click on them. They will enlarge.

Laralee Kate
It is official. Her name is Laralee Kate. She is named after her great aunt Lara, her grandpa Lee, and her mommy Kaytee.
This is the first time Daddy got to hold his daughter. She is very quiet and is doing well.
She latched on to Kaytee almost immediately and ate for about 20 mins.
Kaytee is also doing well.

Hey Nonnie! It's a Girl!!!!
I am updating our blog while Kaytee recovers from surgery. Yesterday, Monday, Kaytee and I went to the doctor for her weekly check up. The doctor walks in and says, "Let’s have a baby like tomorrow." But, to throw a wrench in our plans, the baby was feet first. It had done a 180 degree turn from one appointment to the next. This was a surprise to us. But, the doctor said "lets have you check in tomorrow and we will try to turn the baby. If we can't get the baby to turn, then we will do a c-section."
Kaytee was not due till the 16th of June but she was having problems with preeclampsia. In order to reduce risk to Kaytee and the baby, the doctor wanted to take the baby early. So, we arrived this morning and they immediately tried to turn the baby. After 5 mins of intense pain (for Kaytee). I told the doctor I did not want her pushing on the baby and Kaytee any longer. Actually, I believe my exact words were, "I call it! We are done with this!" So the doctor scheduled the O.R. for a 1:00pm c-section.
At exactly 1:39pm today our little girl was born. I am waiting for Kaytee to become a little more coherent before announcing the name. We want to make sure the name fits her. She came out screaming and immediately turned pink. I guess that is a good thing because the nurses kept commenting on how quickly her color turned. She weighed 6lbs 15oz and is 19.5" long. She is so tiny.
So here are some pictures. Hope you enjoy them. I will update with more later and we will update the blog with her name later as well.
Also, this is the tie breaker on the Church family side. We now have 11 nieces and 10 nephews (living). Congrats to the girls!
ps. Happy birthday Tyler! You have a new cousin.
