One Wild Night

After the recall, Laralee found a new use for her Bumbo.

I don't feel so good mommy...

That milk must have been sour...

Thanks for standing by me mommy...

Whew, I'm glad that's over. I feel much better!

Girl or Boy- you decide.

So... I'm tired of people saying what a handsome boy we have. Just because she's bald or sometimes doesn't wear pink they assume she's a he. (well you know what assuming does) My friend Laura in Charleston gave me this idea and I added to it. This way she has one for every outfit and if people still think she's a boy then that's pretty scary. She looks so cute with it on her head! I'll post a picture later.

She's getting so BIG

I didn't know I could love someone as much as I LOVE my Laralee. She is so much fun right now. She crawls everywhere and pulls herself up on anything, even if it won't hold her (she falls and gets up to try it again). She has also started saying MUM when she's tired, I don't know if it has any connection to me or just that she's ready for bed. It's really cute though. I can't wait for my family out west to see her. We are so excited for our trip next week!!

Those two little teeth are great, but as you can see nothing up top yet.

She is getting brave enough to only use one hand to hold herself up. What a dare devil.

HAVE YOU SEEN ME??

MISSING

2 Infant socks
Last seen: Laundry Room
Age: Brand New

Okay I love Laralee's little socks but hate washing them. They end up everywhere, mostly in Ryan's shirts. The cute little pink Dancer one she only wore once and then poof-MIA between our bedroom and the laundry. The other was lost at Matt's house, their girls have looked and I have too. Nothing! So I have decided to take matters into my own hands. My MIL bought a mesh laundry bag from the dollar store that I am going to convert into a little washing bag for her socks, so no more lost partners. Who knew that having a baby would open my eyes to so many cool inventions.

Traveling alone with a 7 mos. old...eek!

Laralee and I are headed out west to see family for a couple weeks. We will be on several flights and I will be on my own, no husband to help. If any of you experienced mothers have advice on how to make it an easier trip I'm all ears. Please help this new mommy!!

A Title that Fits

My SIL has this book and I love it!! I'm sure most of you have heard of it and the whole program but I hadn't. The recipes are for food that day or freezing for later. I have never been good at knowing what is good to stick in the freezer. Well I would recommend this one to everyone. I am ordering mine ASAP from Amazon.

Take this test!
Your color is black. The color of night. Serene and mysterious, black conjures up images of elegant evening gowns, dashing tuxedos, and gleaming limousines. Traditionally a symbol of success, black also represents power and an uncompromising demand for perfection. Not surprisingly, you tend to set challenging goals for yourself and do whatever it takes to achieve them — your strength of character is second to none. This unfaltering determination, along with your natural elegance, impresses people. But keep in mind that your personality might be intimidating to some. Try to temper your demanding side with a little softness — trust us, it won't kill you. Overall, though, black is the color of professionalism and achievement, which means it's clearly the color for you.

My friend makes Canvas Letters to hang on the wall in a nursey or kids room, they are so cute. I'm having her make one with Laralee's initials on it for her room.

Check it out on Ebay!

They are so cute and she has lots of different fonts and patterns. I'll post mine when it's made.

Sleeping

Last night I went in to check on Laralee before I went to bed. This is how I found her. She moves around a lot at night.

Just lounging

Today we woke up to snow, not much but enough to keep Ryan home from work. Daisy didn't want to go outside this morning because it was 18 degrees, burrrrr!

Laralee got this for Christmas, at first she wasn't quite sure what to do with it but she soon figured it out. It's great, the base lights up and makes noise and the ball is the perfect size for her to grab onto. Fisher Price has wonderful toys.

Awesome Christmas presents

This year Ryan's sister Holly had our family for Christmas. She sent us this awesome advent calendar/nativity scene. The pieces are magnets and had a little box that they fit into until the right day. I love it, thanks Holly!!

Since I am honoring great presents I had to mention last years. Ryan's sister Kim had us last year and MADE this origami nativity scene that I love too!!!! I can't believe the time she put into this for us. Thanks Kim!!

Holly also made a blanket and "silky" for Laralee with her name on them. They are so beautiful, Holly has found a great talent.

Laralee's First Christmas

Here's some pictures of Christmas morning/afternoon. Laralee is wearing her new P.J.'s that make her look like a boy, but Ryan liked what's on the front. Have I mentioned that she's adorable?
"Peace" on Earth

Look at those chompers!! We rarely get to see them, she always covers them with her tongue.

Before we could open presents Laralee fell asleep with her puppy.

Sewing time

Since I had lots of spare time this year I decided to sew. I love sewing but just have never taken the time really to do it. Making Laralee's blessing dress gave me the "bug" and some confidence. I made the blankets for Collin and Cameron (even though they don't need them in Phoenix) and the bag for Tess. The bag was a new adventure but now I want to make one for myself as a diaper bag. It was lots of fun. Lee and Ann were nice enough to let me turn their front room into a sewing room, with fabric and strings everywhere.

With our new addition this year we needed a new stocking. My wonderful aunt Lara made Ryan's and mine many years ago. I wanted to make one to match. I really could have used Lara's help on this one but since that was impossible I fumbled through. (I'm sure she was watching, laughing along with me at my mishaps.) Ryan was pretty impressed how close I got it to match without a pattern. I learned a lot to help me with the next one(s). Laralee's is on the left, she even picked out her own fabric. I picked it up and she immediately grabbed it and started jabbering to it. The fabric lady was laughing so hard.
