Gager's Blessing

Gager was blessed at church the first weekend in August.  We decided to make a fun weekend of it and rented a lake house in Wedowee.  Ryan's boss let us borrow his jet skis and we had a BLAST!!  The kids had so much fun swimming, knee boarding and tubing.  We were all sad to see it come to an end.  My brother Dave and his wife Carly drove up from FL, Uncle Larry flew in from UT, Ryan's parents and brother Matt, his wife Deelynn and their five kids plus their friend Robbie drove over from GA.  I am so grateful for family that supports us and wants to spend time together.  Laralee and Hartwell are now old enough to really play with their cousins and I love watching that.  I hope we have many more weekends like that one.

2011 Woodstock 5k and Kidstock 1 Mile Run

Kaytee and I had a great time with the family running the Woodstock 5k. My time this year was better than the last. Wish I could say the same for Kaytee. However, she did just birth a baby 8 weeks ago. I had an interesting thought come to my mind after the 5k. It is interesting to me that she is able to push a baby out and deal with that pain but is unable to run a 5k without giving into the pain of running. Seems to me if I had the strength, physical and metal, to push a gigantic, in my mind, baby out of a tiny hole in my body, then I should have the strength and ability to do just about anything.....within reason. BTW - my wife does not know I am posting this and will probably kill me, within her power and ability, after she sees it. I am only kidding. I am very proud of Kaytee she did a great job.

Anyway, here are a couple of pictures the newspaper posted of Laralee and Kaytee. I find the pictures to be incredibly cute. Laralee loves to "race". I think she likes it mostly for the metal she gets at the end. When crossing the finish line of the 1 mile race, the announcer said, "look at the head full of pigtails!" I can't get enough of her.

Lunch Bunch

Amazingly all three of my chickies were in great moods during lunch.
I got a smile out of each of them.

The Many Faces of Gager

Playing at the Lake

Last week we went to Georgia to see Ryan's family visiting here from AZ.  We had so much fun at the lake.  The cousins all got a long so well, Hartwell cried for about 10 min after we left saying he didn't want to go home.

We found a  little cove to swim in, it was perfect.

Laralee and Olivia took a ride with Ryan too.

Hartwell loved the jet ski, he is not afraid of anything.

They even had fun eating lunch together

The cousins were getting pretty creative on Big Mable

We talked Laralee into going on Big Mable only if we went  slow.

Hartwell was falling asleep on Big Mable, what does that say about uncle Todd's driving?

All the cousins- minus Gager.

The end of a great and memorable day!
