Spring time

Our future pharmacist

Laralee found my wedding veil and has been wearing it around the house ever since.
We had a nice warm Saturday so we pulled out the bikes and enjoyed.

Ryan found this big tricycle for Laralee.

And Hartwell is getting her old one.

Laralee is always giving Daddy encouragement while he works on his "trucks"

After a long day riding bikes and running errands they both crashed in the car.  Her hair is scary!

He is so cute when he's asleep, don't let him fool you though.  He's really a little monster.

Craft Day

I found some fun Valentine crafts while looking at blogs yesterday so we decided to try them out.
We made a Valentine shirt for each of Laralee's cousins that we can give them this weekend.  She is so excited and we had a lot of fun making them.  Here is the blog I found the shirts on.  The only thing I would add to her directions is to just use your hands to press the doily down, we tried a rolling pin first and the doily stuck to the shirt bad. (Thank goodness it wasn't one of the shirts).  The cards we made as thank you notes for Christmas presents.  We just used the same paint and roller from the shirts.  Here's a link to that blog. Who knew that bubble wrap I saved from Christmas would come in handy so soon!  Both of these ideas I found on this blog, she has posted several more Valentine ideas.

While that was all drying we pulled out the finger paints, I think Laralee liked getting it all over her hands more than the paper.  I wish I would have got a picture before she washed them.  We had a fun morning and the both let me get a picture of them.  Lately they have been very camera shy.

Our "post" Christmas

Because we were in Ecuador over Christmas, we did our Christmas presents when we got home.  Laralee was so excited to see what the wonderful presents were that our awesome family sent her and Hartwell. It was amazing to see how full our tree was and we didn't put one present under it.  We really felt the long distance love our family has for us.  Thanks Church's, Nonnie and Thompson's.

Laralee handed out the presents.

Hartwell loved ripping the paper.  I think he could've done it all night.

They each got a Magnidoodle, I wish we had those for the trip.  They are great at church though.

Even Daisy got a couple presents.  Laralee gave her the bone and we didn't see her until it was completely gone.

Does anyone remember Pound Puppies?

Nonnie sent a The Night Before Christmas recorded by her.  The kids love listening to it.

Santa brought Laralee a camera.  She is loves taking pictures.

Here's one of the only pictures we got of the Christmas tree.  It's our little tree with a lot sentimental value.   After Daisy finished her bone started sniffing under the tree to find more and knocked the whole tree over, breaking some ornaments and pretty much started the undecorating process.  So I didn't get the family picture in front of the tree I wanted this year.

Winter in the South

Last night it started snowing about bed time.  The snow flakes were huge like Utah fluffy snow flakes.  I wish it would've kept going all night!  Ryan had to use the 4-wheel drive to not slip all over the road on the way to work.  Laralee was so excited to go out and make a snowman. Too bad there was a hard layer of frozen snow on top of it all.  The South evidently is not snowman country.  We still had fun crunching and sliding up and down the street.
