Winter in the South

Last night it started snowing about bed time.  The snow flakes were huge like Utah fluffy snow flakes.  I wish it would've kept going all night!  Ryan had to use the 4-wheel drive to not slip all over the road on the way to work.  Laralee was so excited to go out and make a snowman. Too bad there was a hard layer of frozen snow on top of it all.  The South evidently is not snowman country.  We still had fun crunching and sliding up and down the street.

Life has been a little busy...here's a brief update

All dressed up and ready for trick-o-treating.  For all those that don't know, Hartwell is a Giraffe.  It was a fun project.

Daddy had another birthday.  Laralee celebrated it for about 3 weeks.  Every morning and any time she saw him she'd say Happy Birthday Daddy and sing.  As much as Ryan hates his birthday he loved it!!!

We went to Callaway Gardens for Thanksgiving.  Ryan's parents met us there.  We had a great 4 days.
We went  to the Butterfly House.

Laralee was not too sure about them.

One butterfly took a liking to Papa, or his hair care products.

We also went to a bird show but missed the first part.  I was amazed at how large the owl was.    We also saw the Fantasy in Lights.  We didn't take pictures but it was awesome.  It was cold and rainy but we still enjoyed it.  Hartwell and Laralee were in heaven with all the different scenes.  They did a great job.

Birmingham Temple

Last Saturday we went to the Birmingham Temple as a family.  Our friends were having their granddaughter sealed to them so while Ryan went in I waited outside with Laralee and Hartwell.  There was a new bride having pictures done, Laralee loved seeing her pretty white dress and has not stopped talking about "her" white dress when she's older.  I love being at the temple, there is a wonderful feeling being there.  It was great to have the children there too. We don't have the opportunity to bring them very often.
