L turned 3 last week so we made a rainbow cake for her. It was very messy but really fun and very yummy!!

We had dinner at some friends from church. She was more into her candle than the cake. I don't think she even finished her piece.

Then Ryan was the after dinner entertainment. Our friend gave L a bottle of bubbles but the adults ended up playing with them more.

Ryan came home at lunch and we had cake and candle time.

L helped blow out his candles because she said "he's too little".

Why do kids poke at that first birthday cake they get??

He is a lot cleaner than L is or was.

First Birthday

Ryan and I were talking last night, neither of us could believe it's been a year since H joined our family. It's been an eventful year and he has kept us on our toes but we sure do love him. L has been a wonderful big sister from the instant she met him and now he can't get enough of her. They play and giggle all day. We are so blessed to have healthy and happy (for the most part) children. H's personality has finally started to come out and he is a joy to have. He loves his Daddy, Daisy and his sister. He reaches for Daddy as soon as he walks in the door from work. We love him and hope to have many more birthday to celebrate with him!!

Thanks to a little Helaman action figure I was able to cut it without help from Ryan.

I just had to put this in because lately it is rare that L will pose appropriately for a picture.

L was a big help distracting H while I used the clippers. She was making him laugh hysterically. You gotta love the Bumbo, I don't know what I would do without it!!
