All grown UP

Laralee turned 1 last Thursday. We went outside for a little photo shoot to document the day. She was her delightful self as usual.
I took her to the DR for shots :( and a wellness check. She is doing great, she is 29.5 in (60%) and 19lbs 8oz (25%). She actually slept through 1/2 the appt, which is not like her. But made it easier to talk with the DR.

I'm how old!!

We are starting the "weaning" process this week. This is what Laralee would like to substitue with. Just like Grammie and Daddy.

Summer Swimming

We took Laralee swimming with her cousins this weekend. She {LOVED} it!!

Yummy...Chlorine

After a long day of swimming or floating we sunbathed for a bit before heading home.

Don't you just love her suit. (you know it had to be orange-Go Tigers!)

The kids all had to wait the standard 10-15min after putting on sunscreen before going in the pool so we ~TRIED~ distracting them with pictures. It didn't work very long and who ever thought that kids would really want to wait around for their sunscreen to dry before leaping into the pool?! Laralee's cousins were so fun, they all took turns playing and pushing her around in the water.

1 Year Already!!

Yes...it's true 1 year ago {almost to the hour, 1:39pm} our sweet blessing entered this world and our family. It was been quiet a year and she has definately proven her awesomeness, if that's a word. We have moved out of state, traveled near and far, explored the outdoors, introduced her to many friends, family and pets and she is quiet frankly the BEST baby ever. Not that I'm bias or anything. She has slept through the night since 6 weeks, has been a great eater or should I say breastfeeder and simply is a joy to have. She smiles at everyone and usually laughs too. I could go on and on about how much I love her and it still wouldn't be enough. I know her Daddy agrees with me, we are so happy to have her and hope to have many more years with her watching her grow and become the beautiful daughter of God that she is. I only hope that she will some day come to that realization too.

I'll stop now...we go to the doctor next week so I'll post an update on that and pictures from today and her party with her cousins on Sunday.

Home Sweet Beach!

So serious!

Laralee loved the beach.

She crawled around for sea shells to stick in her mouth until her knees were RAW.

She then discovered the sand and liked the taste of it better. We were constantly trying to stop the HANDFULS of sand from being devoured.

{monday she had quite the deposit, if you catch my drift}

I totally love this little girl. She is such a trooper, even when mommy and daddy drag her off to who knows where and she misses most of her naps she still is delightful and everyone loves her. Ryan and I are so blessed to have her!!

Naughty...

So...our little family took a trip to Charleston to do some work on the house and visit friends. Ryan wanted to knock out the house work the first day so we could play the rest. Because of a few {MINOR} glitches he finished about 8pm. Laralee and I waited but I didn't have much to entertain her with, so I sat her in the car seat and gave her the wet wipes to keep her preoccupied. I didn't know she could open it let alone pull each one out the throw them all over the front of the car. At least she had fun doing it.
*BUSTED*

Trying to eat the evidence huh?!
