Amazing

While we were in Florida, Aunt Kim and Laralee caught caterpillars. They changed to the chrysalis stage the day before we left and yesterday they changed into butterflies. We were worried about them make the long car ride home but they lasted. Ryan has been watching and checking them everyday. Yesterday morning they turned black which meant it wasn't much longer. While I made zucchini bread the first hatched out, the other did while I was laying Hartwell down for a nap. It was cool to watch their wings grow bigger and get ready to fly. Laralee and I took them outside to let them go and were able to hold and sneak pictures before the departure. Laralee was a little freaked out but was patient with me while I snapped pictures and video. Hope you all enjoy the amazing nature we experienced.

2 months

My little man is 2 months old and growing like a weed. We took him to the Dr. today and he is 12lbs 1 oz (53%), 23 in. (50%).

Got-2-getaway

So Ryan and I packed up the kids and went to see Ryan's nephew, Ian, who recently returned from a mission to Argentina. We haven't seen him in at least 4 years so it was a fun trip to catch up and let him meet his two newest cousins. Laralee and Hartwell did awesome on the long drive down there. I do have to say- thank goodness for breast pumps and minivans!! We got to the beach twice, had a free slurpee on 7-11, Kim introduced us to Gelato {yummy}, and heard two of the greatest talks in church on Sunday {Adrie and Ian}.

Daddy and Hartwell enjoying a lazy morning.

I almost forgot I had a 2 month old, Adrie held and loved Hartwell the whole weekend. If he started crying there was a race between Kim and Adrie to pick him. Kim nicknamed Adrie the baby stealer.

My sweet little boy. He's getting so big.

And I can't say enough about this one. She was scared of the water at first but then was out letting the waves crash over her while Ryan was holding her. She had so much sand on her she looked like a cinnamon-sugar donut.

Cute cousins!

I just had to post this picture, what kind of face is that?!

Our first family picture since Hartwell

Look at the grins on both of my chickies. So sweet!

Our Floridians. Ian just towers over these two. And check out the sweet jacket Ian is wearing. I caught him dancing in front of the mirror when he found it and put it on. I think he was a little too excited. I wouldn't be surprised if he wears it to church next Sunday. Thanks Patton family for a great weekend!
